On my last day of office hours I noticed my officemate's to-do list looked significantly lovelier than mine, and resolved to somehow get a similar one as soon as possible.
Amateur comes from the French and Latin, meaning "one who loves."
The Oxford English Dictionary defines it thus: 1. One who loves or is fond of; one who has a taste for anything. 2. One who cultivates anything as a pastime, as distinguished from one who prosecutes it professionally; hence, sometimes used disparagingly, as = dabbler, or superficial student or worker.
Project 365 is a photography challenge which asks amateur photographers to chronicle their surroundings for one year, recording one photo per day.
I am certainly an amateur (amateuse?) and this is my project.
