I always like the way light comes down city streets - this was in Philadelphia, yesterday. I also liked the idea of these buildings going oldest to newest back toward the horizon.
Amateur comes from the French and Latin, meaning "one who loves."
The Oxford English Dictionary defines it thus: 1. One who loves or is fond of; one who has a taste for anything. 2. One who cultivates anything as a pastime, as distinguished from one who prosecutes it professionally; hence, sometimes used disparagingly, as = dabbler, or superficial student or worker.
Project 365 is a photography challenge which asks amateur photographers to chronicle their surroundings for one year, recording one photo per day.
I am certainly an amateur (amateuse?) and this is my project.
